Mission Statement
The purpose of the Taskforce is to provide access to campus-wide information technology, innovations, and user support to enhance the learning experience of students in the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
Who are we?
The McGill Science Computer Taskforce (CTF) is a student volunteer-run organisation on McGill campus. We offer a variety of technological services to students at McGill. We are best known for our free printing service and laptop lending program, but we offer a variety of other services for students and student groups on campus.
Funding and History
We are funded by the Science 21st Century Computer Fund. It typically comes up for renewal every two years.
The fund was conceived in 1995 to purchase and maintain a network of computers (INFOPOINTS) used by Science and Arts & Science students. The INFOPOINTS network is maintained by a group of volunteers called the McGill Science Computer Taskforce (us). Since the inception of the CTF, the fleet of INFOPOINTS has grown from 12 computers to over 140.
Office Hours
Our office hours are between 9h00 and 17h00 from Monday to Friday.
However, if you knock on the door or ring the doorbell regardless of the time, it is likely that someone will be there to help.

Testimonials
“I think that CTF has a very unique role at McGill. We are a relatively large organization of motivated students volunteering to serve other students, and it seems the average level of motivation goes up every year.” - Jason
“I enjoyed spending time at CTF so much that in the same year, I stayed over fourteen hours in Burnside hall fixing a monitoring system” - Yuyu
