Request Process

If your club is in need of tech/hardware, such as computers, monitors or keyboards, feel free to send an email to ctf.science@mail.mcgill.ca!

To speed up the process, please include the following information in your initial email :

• A brief description of what your club does
• What you’re requesting and what you’re planning on using it for
• The timeline by which you need the request to be fulfilled

We will then reply to confirm availability of the hardware you’ve requested through our purchasing partners, and offer alternatives if it is not. After confirming specifics, we will provide an expected timeline regarding shipping and handling once the order is processed.

Note on maintenance

If your organization requests a computer that is expected to have any kind of network access while on the McGill LAN, then CTF will also manage and maintain the OS and provided software of the machine to ensure that it is able to respect IT policies regarding network security. As such, requests involving networked computers should also provide a description of software requirements for the each machine, including preferred OS, pre-installed programs, etc.
